Account Executive


TITLE: Account Executive

SALARY: $20/hr + commission; $45,000 + commission after the contract period

LOCATION: Oakville, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Temporary


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Generate sales through cold calls with walk-in and/or telephone customers, repeat customers and sales leads, presenting product models and explaining the modular process.
  • Take responsibility in prospecting, qualifying, proposing and closing leads serving a customer segment that includes entrepreneurs, and small to medium business.
  • Maintain a high level of service to existing customers; managing the customer relationship from contract execution through delivery to after sales service; and soliciting referrals from these customers, where possible.
  • Develop market strategy for accounts designed to generate sales from new customers and maximize sales from existing customers.
  • Identify and develop sales channels.
  • Develop an understanding of the customer's requirements, business environment and strategy to ensure significantly higher revenues, accrued with increased customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a business plan with the management which details the quota, target customer base, products and methods to be used to meet or exceed plan.
  • Continuously monitor, analyze and report on competitive activities, new business opportunities, regulatory developments, customer perceptions and market needs.
  • Maintain sales database with accurate forecasting; Provide an annual and quarterly forecast of customer plans and purchases to facilitate company planning and budgeting of resources.
  • Identify competition and competitive actions for the assigned accounts and communicate information to marketing and sales management.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree/Diploma or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an outside B2B sales role developing new business
  • Excellent prospecting skills, with an ability to maintain strong relationships after the sale has closed
  • Experience using and maintaining a Salesforce database.
  • Strong ability to make effective presentations, and skills to negotiating deals
  • High level of business integrity and work ethic
  • Possess strong self-confidence, perseverance, detailed-oriented, organizational skills, and will to go the extra mile to achieving set goals
  • Experience selling Payroll Service Bureau space is an asset
  • Must have own vehicle to travel
