Bilingual Assistant Manager, Underwriting


TITLE: Bilingual Assistant Manager, Underwriting

SALARY: $60,000 to $70,000 + 3 weeks’ vacation + Bonus + Benefits

LOCATION: Markham, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Full time, Permanent


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for ongoing training, coaching and supervision to underwriting staff members
  • Ensure department policies, guidelines, procedures and reports are maintained
  • Provide support for business and escalated customer concerns
  • Remain updated on daily process and identifying opportunities for improving efficiencies
  • Assist Manager to prepare and/or facilitate monthly/quarterly team and operational meetings
  • Work with the departmental Managers to keep procedures current as work processes change and evolve
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Completion of university degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience in an insurance company, including 3 to 5 years at leadership or supervisory level
  • Bilingual - Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and French required
