TITLE: Scheduler

SALARY: Flexible, depending on experience level

LOCATION: Richmond Hill, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Full time, Permanent

  • Provide Plant areas with daily/weekly schedules outlining required output as per customer requirements.
  • Monitors performance in all plant areas and communicates daily with Area Leaders and Supervisors.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all inventories such as components, work in process and finished goods for the plant.
  • Generates and distributes daily /weekly production schedules for all production departments.
  • Produces daily/weekly/monthly reports as required.
  • Maintains SAP master files
  • Follows-up with Customer Service on any shortage issues.
  • Performs cycle counts on a regular basis to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Initiates and/or analyzes overall inventory for yield variances and discrepancies on a daily basis.
  • Investigates the daily controlling goods issued (COGI) on SAP report, and makes appropriate adjustments.
  • Participates in demand editing/MRP process on a weekly basis.
  • Sends weekly releases to suppliers and works directly with suppliers to ensure releases are understood and confirmed to a level of mutual satisfaction.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multi-tasks to meet deadlines
  • Computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Knowledge of MRP
  • 2 - 3 years experience in Production Control in an automotive industry
  • Thorough knowledge of MS 9000, TS 16949 and ISO14001 requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Use of effective analytical and problem solving skills when scheduling based on customer demands
