Director of Operations

TITLE: Director of Operations

SALARY: $95,000 - $100,000/year

LOCATION: North York, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Full time, Permanent

  • Managing the cleaning operations for a portfolio of contract locations, ensuring a high level of quality at all sites
  • Ensure that Area Managers and Site teams are complying with all company policies and procedures
  • Respond to and assist in any emergency situations
  • Ensure that contracts with clients are being adhered to
  • Liaising with Property Management to ensure all of their needs are being met
  • Approving operating budgets for each job location
  • Prepare work orders to create invoices
  • Controlling all invoicing including regular monthly billing and additional services
  • Ensuring that Area Managers are complying with all company and building policies and procedures
  • Ensuring scheduled cleaning inspections at contract locations are completed
  • Managing 2-3 Area Managers and overseeing the operations of 50+ accounts and will report directly to the Vice President
  • Ensuring that all service contracts are being adhered to, and that Key Performance Indicators are being met
  • Experience working in the Facilities Services industry
  • 5-10 years of Management experience in the cleaning or facilities industry
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of cleaning procedures, techniques, products and equipment
  • Strong computer and technical skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work efficiently in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to be available on a 24/7 basis
  • Ability to speak fluently in English – bilingual or multilingual an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
