Stock Purchaser


TITLE: Stock Purchaser

SALARY: $45,000-$55,000 per year plus benefits, profit sharing

LOCATION: Mississauga, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Full Time, Permanent

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Quote prices confidently with vendor provided price lists
  • Inputs ETA’s for ordered items in the system to provide transparency
  • Manages the inventory to ensure the workflow is correct
  • Evaluates requirements for all stock items to ensure that customer requirements are met
  • Ensures all min/max levels are set and accurate for all buy stock items
  • Manages and ensures that all vendors are meeting expectations and deadlines
  • Adds and manages new products in the system
  • Ensures pricing and costing is correct and communicates regularly with accounting
  • Supports investigation of new product lines and vendor changes
  • Uses MRP system effectively to evaluate stock requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical Skills – knowledgeable of the MRP system, all production stock requirements
  • Organizational skills – must be able to track and anticipate stock requirements
  • Interpersonal skills – works respectfully with vendors
  • Accuracy – Keeping accurate information on ordering needs
  • Attention to Detail – Record keeping and data entry
